Smooth. Real smooth. enjoy.
It’s been a pretty interesting week reading all the Daft Punk album reviews that have been floating around. Some are calling it epic and “the new style of dance music” and others are calling it awful and a fall from grace for our beloved robots. I haven’t had the opportunity to listen to the album as of yet, but I know from previous experience (audio, video, disco) that I shouldn’t get my hopes up for something of old. We already know that this album doesn’t have a single sample in it, so when I hear the album for the first time I’m going to try my best to listen to it with a fresh perspective and not long for the Daft Punk of the past.

TAI just released his latest EP today. I feel like the title and the sound might rub some people the wrong way, because let’s face it, this is the internet. If you can offend someone with a picture of a cat, you can certainly offend them with this track. Honestly though I couldn’t care less because it’s a great track. The first time I heard it I started to laugh, but after a couple more times it really started to grow on me. And for some strange reason it reminds me a bit of Pon De Floor without all the rhythmic change.
The other track on the EP, The Thrill, is actually quite good as well. So you should really pick this whole thing up.
TAI – Indian Kill (Original Mix) (192 kbps)
Well hello everyone! It’s been a quick minute (months) since I’ve posted anything and for that I’m very very sorry. The reasons for my absence will never make up for the time I’ve missed, but I did want to explain myself a bit. As probably none of you except my close friends know, I really enjoy my current job and put 110% into it every day, even on my days off. When I started Chemical Jump I didn’t have a job at all so it was extremely easy to listen to music for 8 straight hours a day (I seriously did this for a week straight one time which was pretty fun).
But again as my friends know I got a job and things started to slack. I juggled my real job and blogging for a good many months and still managed to keep up, but it wasn’t to the level I was at before. There was even a brief time where I was without internet access for 3 months and I’d actually come into work an hour early to use the internet so I could listen to new tracks and find something good to post in 60 minutes. Eventually I started to feel like blogging was a chore that my parents would give me at the end of the day before I could have ice cream. Don’t get me wrong, I still love electronic music and loved to blog, but for a while it was just too much for me to handle and balance a a normal work/social life.
Then the other week I was thinking about what I really cared about in life. My parents, my friends, and.. Chemical Jump. If I have to spend sleepless nights listening to music after work so be it. This is what I want to do. This is who I am. YOLO (sorry) So I shall return to that which made me happy. Let me know what you guys have been listening to in the comments.
Lil Mama – Lip Gloss (Gold Top Remix) (320 kbps)
Lucky Date – Fantom (Original Mix) (192 kbps)

P.p.s. I still don’t like Skrillex.
