Phra from the Crookers doing a rather nice trance remix of Township Funk.

Hmmm, I personally would have sped it up just a bit faster – it feels a bit sluggish to me.

He did a good job giving the song a new feel to it, though. I wish more remixes these days were contracted to artists of completely different electronic music genres from the original, as you sometimes see with hugely successful tracks.

Indeed. The track is at 120 bpm and compared to Sinden’s remix at 132 bpm, it sounds terribly slow.

Also, it looks kind of stupid when you have to put the name of the “famous” group you were a part of in the title of your remix, even when you’re making the remix on your own (ie: Phra Crookers? Worried no one will know you’re “that guy from that group”?).

Yeah, the only way I can see justifying that would be if it was the “other guy” from The Bloody Beetroots. I don’t even remember his name because he literally doesn’t do any of the producing/remixing.
