It’s been a while since I’d heard anything new from Shook so I decided to see what new goodness he’s come up with. I first came upon him when Discodust did a post about a few of his tracks back in 08. One track called The Glow really caught my attention. It’s got a dirty synth line that rides the entire song along with some very nice electro-thriller overtones.

One of his newest tracks, #2, brought the good times of The Glow right back for me. More of that driving synth sound that I loved, but this time instead of the horror theme there’s a funk twist to it. And speaking of funk, I can’t wait for his next remix. I’m not sure if he planned it this way, but the end of #2 flows perfectly into his Hiroshima remix.

Waiting in the wings for release is a remix for Auxiliary Tha Masterfader. No clue on when it drops although whenever it is, it won’t be soon enough.
Update: Totally unbeknownst to me Asian Dan posted a little Q&A with Shook after my post went up. Great minds think alike?
