Mailbag Monday #28 Posted by: Nate in Electronic, Mailbag Monday

So yeah, I missed another week of Mailbag Monday! Thankfully it won’t happen again since from now on Mailbag Monday will be every two weeks instead of every week. I’m obviously not capable of doing it every week (blame lazyness!) so hopefully this will work out much better. As usual you can send your tracks to me on SoundCloud and please be sure to shoot me a message saying that you want it in Mailbag Monday (or else it won’t get in!).

First up this week is probably one of the best Phoenix remixes I’ve ever heard. Dynamics mixes the lyrics of the original with the perfect blend of electro.

Next up is another outstanding track by Bridge & Law. As Wub mentioned in the forums, it sounds a lot like Crookers’ sound when they were first starting out.

The next track has actually grown on me more than I thought. At first the vocal bit seems annoying, but mixed in with another track it could work well.

PANDAmix – Motherfucker (320 kbps)

It’s no secret that I love Leave The World Behind and I’m usually very vocal about it when someone does a terrible job on the remix. I LOVED the parts with the vocal+piano in this remix, but once it set off I was a little put off.

Last up this week is a remix by The 8th Era of… Deadmau5. I try and avoid anything tag with Deadmau5 like it was infected with The Black plague, but The 8th Era did a fantastic job on the remix to make the some more than bearable to listen to. So if you’re like me, then give this track a run at least once.
