Well it’s certainly been a fun week around here. Some of you may have been online Monday when I went on Ustream and spun some records for an hour. A lot of people asked if it was going to be a new weekly thing and after having so much fun with it, I couldn’t see a reason not to. Unfortunately I’ll be out of town the next two Mondays, so things will kick off officially in two weeks and you’ll probably see a post up here about it instead of just Facebook/Twitter.

@Adrian hahaha if you’re trolling, brilliant job.
Otherwise, trance is part of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), however, it is a distinct genre, catergorised by a slightly faster bpm than other tracks (up to 140), a “rolling” or otherwise unchanging bassline throughout the song and a strong use of string-sounding and pad synths. You’re right though, it shares a similar drum pattern to most of the stuff here.

Oryon – Gotham
System F – Out Of The Blue
as you will hear, its quite different to the stuff posted here, which mostly falls under the electro/house tag
