French Stereo – Galactic Party (original mix) Posted by: hendrick in Drunk Blogging

Imma be real real with all of you troopers who have stood by and watched this bleeding animal of-a-blog suffer. I love this blog with all my heart and everyone who has visited. This is not the last post, but for me “the end is nigh”. I cannot speak for paul (who is out of the country at the moment) or cliff (occupied with dinner utensils about his path) or even nate (who has been givin’ the role of “prodigal son” and he just doesn’t know his cues yet. Or he just needed an extended break from this crazy scene and hasn’t yet decided if he’s going to make his way back just yet. Let’s face it, dance music of 2012 is a sad, saturated, drunk, annoying cousin to dance music from 2008. Why is my stupid commentary in the parentheses designated to nate?) I know we all made it past the december 21st deadline but something about this holy place has been dead for a while. I have a full time job outside of this, and a fully loaded semester on the horizon. When it is my time to depart expect a full letter of resignation. At the moment enjoy this awesome contemporary throwback from some of my favorites. A true 2008 electro beast, a little late of the wave. enjoy.

Don’t leave! You are one of my first EDM blogs, and definitely up there with my favorites.

    • hendrick December 28, 2012 at 1:13 am

Thank you for the kind words. This too was one of the first blogs I would frequent. Im not gone yet and who knows the future is a beautiful mystery. I will post until I feel too overwhelmed with the other obligations I have signed up for. If that sense never comes than I will be just as happy as you that I can still post relevant material.

Oh, no! I check this site all the time, I would definitely miss it if it were gone… One of the most consistently good edm blogs!

    • hendrick December 28, 2012 at 1:15 am

We (cliff, paul, and myself) have tried to stay consistent and I think that’s one of the ways a blog can gain respect. I appreciate that you have noticed that we have upped our attempt in that department. Keep reading because you never know.

I feel the same, maybe because 2008 was my first banger party year.

Thanks for the great post (particulary Pilotpriest, Go Go Bizkitt!, BioBlitZ, Wazabi, and the Aniki & K Theory)

Gotta love that 2008 sound. I don’t mean to say that the 2012 artist are all unpleasant. I just have a special place in my heart for that 2008 sound. You are naming some of my favorite established underdogs and big up-and-commers. Weather this blog continues or not there will always be awesome music to be found. I don’t have access to the chemical jump email so Im not sure what undiscovered gems have been dropped in that in box. I have been digging through soundcloud and other resources to find things that I like, and Im so happy that some of them have been artists and tracks that you all enjoy.

I feel like the bulk of the 2012 producer make Dj tool essentially designed for djing and not Ipod, fuck EDM appellation… but yeah there are still some great electro artist.

I can’t stop you from leaving, but I will say this.
Because of you guys and the music you post, me and my friend are killing the local scene. You guys post the most fresh tracks, great news, and the opinions you guys give actually matter to us.
It really wants me to start a blog or something; something that would help inspire people and give the electronic scene what it needs, like what you guys did.
If you do leave, thank you. No really, thank you with all my heart. You guys changed my life with music and I will never go back to whatever I was before.
I wish you all the best with everything, and goodluck with life and stuff.

      Bowzr & Viking,
This is the best! You guys are spreading good music to people that would otherwise have no inclination to search for it. It makes my day that your local scene, big or small, is jumping because you guys follow us. We too had/have a small local venue that we would try these sounds out on and most of the time it was an awesome time (every once and a while you can play something that is just too new and no one knows what to do, like when you would play that first moobahton (still an iffy genre aside from Dillon Francis) track and everyone had a hard time dancing to it) Weather we continue or not you guys should always play what you want and never what you’re told. Stay tuned.

I have to echo the previous comment from Bowzr and Viking. I’ve been DJing in Denver for over a year now and have consistently used material I found here in my sets. In fact, some of my best work has utilized the sounds posted here. It’s true the faucet on this blog has turned into a slow leak.. perhaps a reflection of the current music scene, but I think not. There is always great, timeless tracks out there released all the time if you look hard enough.. But, therein lies the problem. I just spent the last 6 hours blazing through track after track on Beatport. It’s a luxury to be able to spend that much time finding music, not a necessity. Good luck Hendrick in the future. Thanks for all the good times, and hopefully I see you back here eventually.

I am a man of few words. All I can say that I enjoyed every single thing all of you posted on this blog. I felt sad when el3ctronight-blog shut down (there was also plenty of good stuff there) and I will be sad if this blogs ends up with such a future. Nevertheless, good luck with your future and always have fun in life. :*)

    Noo :(
This blog can’t die, this actually the only blog I ever visit at all.
    Sad times.

This blog got me properly into EDM and though I agree that there has been a demise in the genre this year, as previous commenters have noted, there are still gems to be found. Would be sad to see this go. Would be even sadder to see this go without a final word from Nate.

  • Mamarius December 30, 2012 at 11:25 am

It’s truly sad… The worst part is that I benefited from this blog for such a long time without even saying ‘Thanks’ even once… I feel ashamed.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all this music. I discovered a whole new world here that I’ve never left

Although the music has changed in recent years, I have enjoyed the posts of the last few months a lot. Such great stuff! Please don’t give up! Please don’t let us alone!
