Just in time for the new year, we finally have a brand new guest mix! I promise I’ll get back on track with these and get more great artists lined up for 2012, but for now we have a special treat. Dumme Junges have only been around for a short time relatively speaking, but they’ve made a big impact since their debut single last summer. I blogged their Daylight single as well as play their tracks in my mixes (I Like It Raw is still a favorite of mine) and now they’ve put together a power hour of hard dance music that’s sure to make the faint of heart consult their doctors before listening.

It’s time once again for another Chemical Jump Guest Mix! For this mix I’ve asked one of my favorite producers this year to lay down the 10th guest mix as only he can. Being from from Italy you might expect him to be producing music akin to the Crookers and Bloody Beetroots, but NT89 enjoys his own blend of modern techno with smooth synth lines that make you wanna groove till 5am in your grandparents basement with a single episode of The Cosby Show muted on loop. He’s that good. You’ll find plenty of surprises in the mix including new unreleased tracks from Highbloo, Mumbai Science, Style of Eye and of course of few of his own gems. I’ve been following him from the beginning when I first heard the Crookers remix of Let Me Back Up. It’s been awhile again, but we’re finally back with the eighth installment in the Chemical Jump Guest Mix series courtesy of Belgian duo The OddWord! These guys have risen to fame so quickly in the past year it’s almost hard to believe. Already playing a good amount of festivals and shows all across Europe, there just won’t be any stopping them in 2011. Previously heard many times here on Chemical Jump under his old alis of Le Principle, Adulture is doing all the right things for Disco House right now. You shouldn’t have missed the massive disco complation I posted over the weekend, but in case you did he had a track on it with Ghosts of Venice called Bromance that you should check out. And in addition to recently taking a managing position at one of Chicago’s most infamous record labels, Dust Traxx, he’s also just released an EP with them last week which you can stream on SoundCloud and buy on Beatport. The Guest Mixes have finally returned with an amazing producer hailing from Staten Island, Udachi. I’m sure you’re most of you are familiar with his work, but if you aren’t, you obviously haven’t heard his genius We Own The Sky remix that’s become the staple for a lot of dubstep sets and the newly created Luvstep genre. Blende has been on the music scene for a while now, but only recently has their music started to really blow up. They were signed to JFK’s label Teenage Riot Records early this year and have been dominating the dance floor with their first EP release So Well ever since. If you didn’t know about Ghosts Of Venice, it’s time to get educated. Ghosts Of Venice is the name used by Leeds producer Lee Dunn. Lee does disco. Lee does disco very well. When Lee isn’t doing disco, he makes up one part of the electro duo Youth Attack!. I collected up a lot of Lee’s work during disco week and after listening to each track a few dozen times I just had to ask him to do a guest mix. What he made was this absolutely funky mix. I’m really beginning to think that my iTunes library has a mind of its own. Yesterday, as I was trying to figure who I wanted to ask to do the next guest mix and the very next song iTunes started playing was Barletta‘s latest track Drop Out. I took that as a sign, asked Barletta if he’d like to do a mix, and 24 hours later here we are. Regardless of how it came about, Barletta is one of my favorite artists to watch out for new remixes and edits. I really can’t think of a better way to welcome in the new year than have another guest mix, can you?
