Don’t know how I slept on this one, but Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have teamed up with Dada Life to create an absolute monster track. The overall feel of the song is very reminiscent of Show Me Love and with Tara McDonald on the vocals, everything sort of fits together perfectly. If you’ve been looking for a good summer House anthem like Show Me Love, look no further.

Well this week was pretty shitty, but there was some fun drama on Twitter yesterday! Apparently, Rusko was sitting backstage smoking a blunt when Deadmau5 came up and asked him to stop. Rusko then told him to fuck off and Deadmau5 subsequently called security. I think that if Deadmau5 didn’t like it, he could have just gone somewhere else, but calling security on Rusko backstage like that was just a puss move on his part. #teamrusko

Also, DJ Kue posted up his full trackography (with the exception of this year’s releases) over on his blog. It’s got some good jems that are definitely worth checking out.

It sure would have been nice to have this Essential Mix top off a Netherlands win in the World Cup yesterday, but alas it was not meant to be. Regardless, Afrojack‘s essential mix is an extremely good listen, especially if you’re into Dutch House. The only thing I didn’t like about it is the ridiculous amount of his own tracks. And when I say ridiculous, I mean 14 out of the 21 tracks identified so far are his. Don’t call me a hater, because I love the mix, I just think a bit more variety would have been nice for an Essential Mix. Oh, and the first track he drops is Barbara Streisand!

Well it’s been a pretty crazy week. For those of you that don’t follow me on Twitter or Facebook, I’ve finally ordered t-shirts. The deal is that I’m only printing 100. I’m still not sure yet if I’ll print more once they sell out. I was hoping to hire another designer to do a different design, but if there’s enough demand I may do a reprint of the zombie. Still trying to wrap my head around last nights streaming of Ultra fest. Whoever was in charge of it had some strange love affair with Digweed and bad trance music. After they got their act together and finally switched to The Bloody Beetroots I got my first real impression of Death Crew 77. Bob ran around a bunch screaming and playing everything his hands touched, Tommy did an awful lot of clapping when he wasn’t mixing songs together, and Edward just killed the drums like nobody’s business. All in all it was a fantastic performance, but I still enjoy their DJ sets over the live band style. Kudos for trying something new though.
