I realized yesterday that I haven’t filled my disco quota for the week and conveniently enough I got an email containing this little gem from Them Jeans. I didn’t get much info the on the release, but DJ Gina Turner also did a remix which is more in her style of Tribal dance beats.

I’ve got mixed feelings about the new Swedish House Mafia track. I do enjoy listening to it, but let me just say right now that I don’t think Save The World will ever be as big as One. Granted people, even myself, hated One at first and then got huge for some reason and then Congorock remixed it which made it even bigger for us electro heads, but I don’t think that’ll be the case here with Save The World. It’s got a very Miami 2 Ibiza feel to it (except with better vocals) and we all know how much Miami 2 Ibiza gets played.. From my point of view, it just doesn’t have the driving anthem force that One had. Still something worth listening to, though.

Here’s something to put a little groove in your day. Broke One is about to drop his new EP Stop Making Sense on May 6th and after listening to the whole thing I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s being released on one of my favorite labels, La Valigetta, and they’ve kindly given me the go ahead to post the remix by Russ Chimes which stood out the most to me. It’s got such an addictive hook you can’t help but bob your head while listening to it. The other remixes are by ace discomeister Treasure Fingers and a darker remix by Evil Nine. You can preview all the tracks on SoundCloud before you pick them up on the 6th.

In case you didn’t notice yesterday, Afrojack dropped another one of his Dutch bangers on his own label, Wall Records. It’s really interesting hearing some of the tracks I get trying to recreate his sound and never quite reaching the mark. There’s just something about it that can’t copied to an exactness. Blowing up in such a short period of time with that sound, he’s obviously doing something right.

Another steller week around these parts! I know I downloaded at least 5 EP’s from Beatport which is a new record for me. Anyway, I’d like to tell you all that the new t-shirts are officially coming. I sent off all the info to the designer earlier this week to get things started. I’ll unveil the design in April and you’ll hopefully be able to pick them up at the end of May.
