I know what you’re thinking seeing this, ugh another Levels remix, I have about 20 different ones myself, but this one hits the spot more than just about all of them. Hardwell premiered this last month on his weekly radio show and finally decided to release it for free yesterday. Unlike the Cazzette bootleg, Hardwell chose to go in another direction with the breakdown and not incorporate much of the original Levels melody after the drop which is something I rather like.

Whether your you like it or not Avicii has quickly become the king big house anthems this year. Progressive House my not be everyone’s cup of tea, it wasn’t mine for the longest time until Avicii came along, but there’s absolutely no denying his remarkable tallent for turning otherwise ordinary songs into high energy feel good jams. I bet he could turn a Britney Spears song into something epic if he wanted to, although I really really hope he doesn’t ever do that.

Also keep an eye out for the SHM remix of Every Teardrop which should be released shortly.

Another big old/new track from Avicii dropped over the weekend. There’s been a big of controversy surrounding this track recently. X-Factor winner Leona Lewis pretty much ripped off the track for her new song called Collide which you can hear here. Granted, Avicii’s original track Penguin and now the vocal mix called Fade Into Darkness does sample Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s “Perpetuum Mobile” (hence the name Penguin), but Lewis’ song is a damn near exact remake of Penguin except with her horrible vocals.

I also had the opportunity to see Avicii live at Global Dance Festival over the weekend and catch this video. I couldn’t get the whole thing as I was down in the photo pit and way past the 3 song limit so I was hustled back by a security guard.

This year’s first EDC in Vegas ended only a few hours ago, but we’ve already got most of the live sets that aired on Sirius XM. Unfortunately they can’t air all the sets for obvious reasons, but I’m happy with what the put out (except for not releasing Boys Noize’s set). For those of you that couldn’t make it this year, myself included, this is as close as you’ll get to the real thing. Maybe just a bit closer if you throw a bunch of pictures up on your computer of girls in skimpy neon outfits with fishnet stockings and furry boots… but that’s entirely optional and may make you look a bit weird if you’re reading this in an office environment.

Note: For those asking, most of the other good sets (Boys Noize, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia) were not broadcast on satellite radio like these. So don’t get your hopes up for them.
