As sure as the sun rises each day, you can count on some sets from I Love Techno being streamed over satellite and recorded for your listening pleasure each year. And unfortunately as with the setting sun, some of the sets weren’t aired completely. But that shouldn’t stop you from getting up each morning, especially on a morning like this one!

I’d personally say my favorite out of all these is a very close tie between Drop The Lime, Knife Party, and Boys Noize.

Probably one of the best things I’ve heard all week is the rework of Boys Noize and Erol Alkan‘s track Avalanche. I’m not quite sure why they chose to remake it with vocals, but I really feels like this is how the track should have been in the first place, with the original being an instrumental. Both Alex and Erol have stated that their next release together is already finished. So cross your fingers for it to drop sooner rather than later.

As some of you may know Housemeister‘s third LP Music Is Awesome dropped the other day on Beatport. I gave the album a listen last night after I picked it up and while there were only a couple of songs I didn’t completely enjoy, the album as a whole is completely solid and has already earned a spot on my top 10 for this year. I was especially fond over the tracks that featured Boys Noize and Jan Driver.

I don’t usually post about events, but I’m actually gonna be at this one so it’s okay! Diplo and Boys Noize will be headlining the first ever Soundwave Music Festival in Tempe, AZ in about a week. The lineup also includes various local acts as well as a few other big names such as Porter Robinson and Spank Rock. I’m hoping to meet up with some readers while I’m there, so if you live in Arizona you can pick up your ticket here and come party with me! Did I mention It’s at a water park and they’re draining the wave pool and turning it into a dance floor? Yeah, serious business.

Best week of 2011 so far! Tons of new music and announcements from 2006-7′s greatest heros Justice, MSTRKRFT and SebastiAn. There’s no way next week will be nearly as awesome as what we just lived through, but something tells me there won’t be any fat ladies around to sing for quite awhile.

Kind of disappointed in myself that I haven’t posted about St. Beethoven earlier. He hails from the Boston area and has been making tunes since at least 09 when I first heard his track Mars. He just released this new banger called Coda on SoundCloud a few weeks ago and it almost immediately hit the download limit. If you ask me, it really gives off a solid MSTRKRFT vibe with the drums.
