The radio rip of this latest Boys Noize remix has been floating around the net for a least a month now, so I’m sure most of you know what to expect. I’m enjoy this remix a lot since It’s a lot more like his Editors You Don’t Know Love remix than the more recent Swoon or Hot-N-Fun remixes. It does have its hard point, but it feels more like a mellow track you can throw on and just sway back and forth to for 7 minutes.

As another week draws to a close I got a nice look at just how crazy you guys are. So far we’ve had 280 comments on the t-shirt giveaway with some of the most ridiculous and creative names I’ve ever seen. I didn’t think it would be this hard to choose a winner, but I’ll have it narrowed down by Tuesday. Also, I haven’t had much time to work on the mix for the next giveaway, so it might be delayed slightly.

It’s been a hot minute since last we heard from the Boys Noize remix department. In fact it was way back in January that he released his remix of The Editors You Don’t Know Love, but now he’s finally back with a remix of N.E.R.D.’s Hot-N-Fun. Now, I’m feeling just about every remix on this release in one way or another. The Nero brings drum n bass dubstep to the next level without tipping the nasty scale too much, an absolute must have remix. And the Crookers once again go off with another crazy remix. It’s not necessarily my favorite, but if I close my eyes it sounds like something Mr. Oizo would do and I think can live with that. In any case, it takes about 2 minutes for the Boys Noize remix to really set off, so sit back and relax till it hits you.

Another artist that hadn’t really popped up on my radar until recently is the LA duo known as Religion. I had a few of their previous remixes, but it wasn’t until I heard the remix they did for Steed Lord (which I immediately charted) that I went and downloaded every remix I could find. The two most recent remixes are without a doubt some of the best in their repertoire. I’m loving how much harder and energetic they made Avalanche.

The third single off Boys Noize’s Power LP dropped today. Kontact Me has gotten a proper remix treatment from the likes of Jan Driver, Housemeister, and Beataucue, but one of the most eagerly anticipated remixes seems to be that of Rynecologist‘s Turbine Mix. I’ve seen several videos of Boys Noize dropping this at various events and every single time it sets off like crazy. Just wait until you get about 2 minutes in…

Weird, but it seems to fit nicely with the track.

Following up their first two massive tracks Death Suite and Waves, Boys Noize and Erol Alkan have once again upped the stakes with Lemonade. Why these two never got together sooner to create tracks is beyond me, but I’m sure happy they’re doing it now. I can already tell you this will be one of my top favorite tracks this year.

Boys Noize Records released a nice little compilation to gear up for WMC next week. It includes unreleased tracks galore from Shadow Dancer, Les Petits Pilous, and D.I.M. to name a few. I was actually was most excited about the D.I.M. track, that is, until I heard it. I do like the track, but it doesn’t bring the same heat as Lyposuct did. Anyway, enjoy this Boris Dlugosch remix that everyone seems to be posting over the others for no real reason at all.

Now, I’d be a good moral and ethical blogger if I told you to go and buy the compilation on Beatport (which you can do here). But I also have a seriously hard time justifying the insane price of $20 for only 8 tracks. My advice? Save your dough for Avalanche/Lemonade.

I promised I’d get some free stuff for you guys soon and this is only the beginning! Editors really popped on my radar back in October when they launched a Google Street View promo for the new album (check it out here). Every since then I’ve followed Editors news closely and when I saw that Boys Noize was doing a remix, I couldn’t have been happier. And now I’m happy to say I’ve got some cool Editors stuff to giveaway.
