Pretty sure you all know I have a not so secret obsession with NT89. And even Burns for that matter. The song they did together starts off in your typical NT89 techno fashion and you almost think it’ll carry on that way the rest of the track, but once it hits that first drop so does your jaw. The release also features an outstanding remix by autoKratz which is the best thing since toaster ovens and one by Attaque which reminds me a bit of Gesaffelstein.

Very big new track from Burns is finally out. It was teased a bit earlier this month in a video and he’s obviously been playing it out in his sets for a while now getting people hyped up. What’s really good about the release is that it comes with the highly tweaked Calvin Harris remix. Calvin really puts a lot of the finishing touches on the track that really make it stand out a lot more than the minimal style of the original.

I hope you guys have enjoyed looking at Chemical Jump this past year and a half because it’s all about to change, kinda. I started work on Chemical Jump v3.0 yesterday and while it isn’t a total redesign (keep the logo and basic layout for now) it’ll incorporate some cool new visual aspects. The collaboration that was announced a few months ago finally came to fruition on Beatport yesterday. Burns & Fred Falke‘s groovy new house track. I was up out of my chair for a good 20 minutes last night just dancing to this on repeat. The release comes complete with remixes by Treasure Fingers, Linus Loves and a European Sex remix by Burns himself which is also something to die for. I knew this would be a great year for disco house tunes, but I never thought it would be anything close to what it’s been. Several artists and labels have managed to turn a few decades old genre into something hip and loveable again. Here’s to 2011 blowing our minds even more.

I know I’m long overdue for a Mega Post. I had one set up a while ago but I deleted the draft and then promptly forgot about it. Yesterday, as I was looking at Facebook, I saw some people commenting about the awesome new Burns track in DJ Mehdi’s MixMas mix was.
