I’ll be honest here. I’ve never really had a thing for Skream remixes. His In For The Kill remix was brilliant because it was so simple, but that’s really how he does every remix. I’m not saying simple is necessarily a bad thing, just that it can only get you so far. Night By Night and In For The Kill are good examples (at least for me) of a simple remixes that work well. His other stuff *cough*Hold The Line*cough* not so much.

DJ Mehdi‘s remix album Red, Black & Blue is set to drop November 2nd and its jam packed with some great tune. Some of them have obviously been released before, but a few I’m just now seeing for the first time. All the remixes are mixed together which is actually kinda nice. It’ll definitely be worth grabbing and throwing it on in your car for a long drive.

Chromeo‘s first single off their new album was released for free last night. I wasn’t really a big fan of their last album Fancy foothwork, but if this song is any indication of what’s coming on the new one then I may just be a fan.

It’s been a while since I last did a mega post so I figured it was time for another installment. For this one I’ve chosen UK DJ-producer Sinden because, well I just love Sinden. By looking at these 22 remixes you may be saying to yourself “Hey! Sinden has done more remixes than that!” Well, he has (there are actually around 50-60), but I’m only counting his solo remixes here so all the one’s with Herve/The Count and Switch/Solid Groove/A.Brucker don’t count.

Chromeo is finally back with some new material and about the release the next album in the DJ-KiCKS series. They dropped this synth heavy cover of The Eagles I Can’t Tell You Why as a teaser for what’s to come and personally I can’t wait.

It’s always sad to see some groups break up. This time it’s the L.A. DJ duo Guns ‘n’ Bombs. After a few releases on Kitsune and a handful of quality remixes the two are packing up their bags.

Sometimes things don’t work out. We – Guns ‘n’ Bombs – have broken up. Filip will continue to make music as Turbotito and with his bands Ima Robot and Djosos Krost and Johnny has a new project called Deathface.

Even though they’ve passed I’m sure Riddle Of Steel and their other songs will be played on for years to come. As a parting gift they left one of the last songs they did, with vocals provided by their friend Ricardo Ribeiro.

Remember that special post I said I had planned? well this is it! The story starts off a few days ago when I got a hold of D.I.M.‘s remix of the Hot Chip song ‘Hold On’ and realized I my iTunes library was severely lacking in D.I.M. remixes. So naturally, I went on an insane downloading spree and grabbed every remix I could get my hands on. I’ve got all the official remixes posted on his myspace except for one. if anybody has Difuzion Krew – Where’s Dario (D.I.M Remix) please send it to me! Thanks Kit!
