We’ve finally some new disco funk goodness from DatA. It may jog your memory slightly a bit of it was sampled in a song by Buy Now (Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello) a few years back called Bodycrash. I don’t know about you, but I still play the JFK edit of that every chance I get and I can’t wait to play these two together.

So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

A new DatA remix dropped recently and of course I instantly loved it. The thing I love about him is that every single one of his remixes sound the same. With some artists that’s a bad thing, but in this case it’s good because you know what to expect and it always turns out to be amazing. I’ve yet to be disappointed by a DatA remix.

DSL‘s Stupid Bitches EP is finally here and I have to say it’s a definite improvement over 08′s Invaders EP. The fact that it contains a new DatA remix just makes it that much better. Be sure to pick the whole thing up on Beatport.

La Roux is unofficially this years most remixed artist and it’s driving me crazy. Most of the remixes have been of Bulletproof and In For The Kill, however, DatA has wisely decided to remix a different song (thank god). I was really lovin’ Fred Falke’s remix, but I think DatA’s I’m Not Your Toy remix will be bumped up to #2 on my list cause of those nice electro beats.

DatA is finally back with some fresh tracks. His new EP is all set to drop on April 28th and I’ve heard the remixes will by Tomboy and Drixxxé will be pretty crazy. Those remixes don’t really matter though because the club version is just gonna kill it.

Felix Da Housecat’s third single off his album Virgo Blaktro and the Movie Disco has gotten the remix treatment from several artists already, but this is the first I’m hearing the DatA remix. Its been a while since I’ve heard any new DatA tracks so I’m really excited to see this pop up.
