As sure as the sun rises each day, you can count on some sets from I Love Techno being streamed over satellite and recorded for your listening pleasure each year. And unfortunately as with the setting sun, some of the sets weren’t aired completely. But that shouldn’t stop you from getting up each morning, especially on a morning like this one!

I’d personally say my favorite out of all these is a very close tie between Drop The Lime, Knife Party, and Boys Noize.

I usually don’t comment on tracks in IJLTH posts, but this one warrants it. Because while the drop half way through Future Funk is pretty huge and original, Tommy Trash uses the same exact synth as he did in The End for the break down parts. Sure it may work well mixing together and a lot of people will probably think it’s the same track, but if you’re making something completely new and marketing it as such, you shouldn’t blatantly use old elements from past tracks. Especially from one you just released. I really hate to rant on the track like that, especially one that I like, but I just hate it when I see lazy production like this. I really enjoy the track, but every time that synth comes on a little large part of me dies inside.

Drop The Lime released this gem of a bootleg the other day that’s been filling my head with almost more bass than it can handle. It’s a relatively simple change for a bootleg, which surprisingly adds a lot more to the track than you’d expect. I’ve been playing out a mash up by Sebastian Ingrosso of Mush Mush and Martin Solveig’s Hello, but I think this will take the top spot for a good many sets.
