Following up their first two massive tracks Death Suite and Waves, Boys Noize and Erol Alkan have once again upped the stakes with Lemonade. Why these two never got together sooner to create tracks is beyond me, but I’m sure happy they’re doing it now. I can already tell you this will be one of my top favorite tracks this year.
So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!
With Halloween about two weeks away I thought it would be a good time to start getting songs together that fit into the whole zombie/ghost/horror theme. This is what I’ve put together so far. I’m interested to see what you guys (and girls!) will be playing this Halloween so if you’ve got any hidden gems, post them in the comments!
This track dropped just this morning. It’s Bob Rifo‘s (The Bloody Beetroots) remix of the Erol Alkan/Boys Noize smash hit Death Suite. I have to say I still like the original slightly better than this remix. It’s a good remix, it just seems a little too repetitive with not enough changed. I’d almost venture to call it an edit and not a remix.
