Another big track that’s been hanging out for months without a release finally dropped. I’ve had a bad copy for almost 6 months now and every time I think it might be okay to play I slap myself in the face and come back to reality. I’m not sure the reason for the delay, but Felix Cartal & Keatch‘s track Solar is now out for everyone to rave out to. Personally I think the track is great. It’s nice little departure from the harder stuff Felix has been doing lately (Joker, Drone, Boy And His Computer). Part of that could be Keatch’s influence, but as with most collaborations you probably never know.

It’s been 6 long months since their last mix, but Villains have finally returned with Vendetta Pt 2. One of the things I loved most about their first mix is how they didn’t just use tracks out of the box, you saw a whole lot of custom edits/bootlegs and it really pushed things over the top. Vendetta Pt. 2 is no different and they even included 4 new singles of their’s that will be released over the next couple of months. This is probably one of the most carefully handcrafted mixes you’ll listen to in a while, so I’d suggest you stick it on repeat until every transition is permanently imprinted in your brain.

You also get this juicy little bonus remix of Felix Cartal’s track Love.

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the last two posts I made. A dude named Daniel emailed me last night with a 320 of Wolfgang’s Essential Mix, so for those of you that love having everything in full quality you can now grab that now from the post. And I also received an email from Dada Life last night about their Video Kick Snare remix. It turns out the remix is actually a year and a half old, but the label just now decided to release it. I guess it just goes to show you how timeless the Dada really is/will be!

Well this week was pretty shitty, but there was some fun drama on Twitter yesterday! Apparently, Rusko was sitting backstage smoking a blunt when Deadmau5 came up and asked him to stop. Rusko then told him to fuck off and Deadmau5 subsequently called security. I think that if Deadmau5 didn’t like it, he could have just gone somewhere else, but calling security on Rusko backstage like that was just a puss move on his part. #teamrusko

Also, DJ Kue posted up his full trackography (with the exception of this year’s releases) over on his blog. It’s got some good jems that are definitely worth checking out.

Not quite as big as Drone was, but I’m really feeling the single of Felix Cartal’s debut LP Popular Music. I’m most interested to hear Berlin though which I’ve heard is even more intense than Drone. Anyone else excited for this album?
