Another slow week around these parts, but this next week will definitely pick up with a few releases on the horizon. Also, Chemical Jump V3.0 is nearly finished. Just a couple of minor tweaks to work out and it should go live sometime this week!

Boys Noize‘s new single after Kontact Me was just released yesterday with a star studded remix treatment. Paul Chambers, Shadow Dancer and a bonus digital remix by Hey Today!. It was actually really difficult to pick my favorite remix of the bunch. I loved Shadow Dancers take, but Paul Chambers adventure remix was so completely different it couldn’t be ignored. So I ended up picking the Hey Today!’s remix since it was more straight forward with what I like. The release is actually a double side with remixes for Trooper by Phon.o, Robert Hood and the much more interesting (in my opinion) bonus remixes by Mixhell and Strip Steve being dropped in two weeks.

Hey Today!‘s big new track Talk To Me has finally dropped. Tiga and a few others have been playing it for the past few weeks and driving everyone absolutely crazy. After first I wasn’t too impressed with the it, but once I threw it on some big speakers I immediately started smiling. I also love Busy P’s description on trying to remix the track:

What the hell can you do with such a monster tune? Make something harder? Impossible. Make something better? Not possible. Make something faster? The opposite of possible. Make something stronger? The train has pulled out of Possibility Town. I wanted something deeper, more mental, bringing two worlds together, Detroit and Rotterdam.

So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

I seriously haven’t given Zombie Nation enough attention on this blog, but I assure you that’s all about to change. After listening to some of his tracks (I’m in the process of buying almost all of them) I’ve settled on posting Radio Controlled because of the kickass remix Hey Today! did. Blew me away with some massive bass.
