When Kaskade dropped his Fire and Ice album not too long ago one of my favorite tracks was Room For Happiness simple for the fact that it had Skylar Grey in it. If you’ve heard the Dirty South remix of Coming Home a million times like I have you’d be hooked too. She can’t touch Katy B yet in my book, but if she starts to do more electro type songs she’ll be a huge contenter. Anyway, the remixes for Kaskade’s third single Room For Happiness were just released and of course I was happy to see Gregori Klosman on official remix duty with the perfect about of pitch bending synth and vocals.

I don’t always post Dubstep, but when I do, I post Alvin Risk. Okay, that might not be entirely true, though this new remix by him did take me by surprise. Historically I haven’t shown too much love towards dubstep remixes. I guess I just usually prefer the genre to stay somewhat the same from the original to the remix. Even though that almost defeats the whole purpose of a remix! Alvin’s remix blends the chorus so well into dubstep that I couldn’t help but love it. his remix of Kill The Noise which was just released is also something I’ve been listening to a lot the past couple of days.

R3hab provides a very nice remix on the EP as well. It’s too bad it wasn’t timed more for Halloween, because it definitely has a very haunted or even Designer Drugs esque vibe about it.

America’s #1 DJ, as voted by people who probably don’t get out much, just released his latest album today. In all fairness Kaskade‘s album is actually a pretty interesting listen. Instead of being a normal album, it’s been turned into a special two CD release. Disc 1 is called Fire with every track featuring a collaboration with a artists (seems like a lot of people are doing more collabs on albums these days) and disc 2, Ice, contains all the songs from Fire, though remixed by Kaskade. It offers a nice balance between the original tracks, but I’m kinda left feeling like I had an overdose of Kaskade and need an intracardiac injection of epinephrine to keep me alive.

One of the better tracks on the album is a collaboration with Dada Life. You can tell straight up that the base was more than likely done by Dada Life and vocals were handled by Kaskade. Thankfully they go together almost seamlessly and it’s worlds away from the vocals on Fight Club Is Closed.
