A lot to discuss today! First, I wanna say sorry for the sucky disco week. I had a few more tunes I wanted to post, but as always life got in the way and I just didn’t have the time. I’ll make it up to you guys soon, I promise! Secondly, I’d like to announce the winner of the t-shirt contest! It was simply too hard to pick one best name (out of over 300 entries!), so by random draw the lucky winner is Stirlume! He did suggest a pretty funny name though, DJ B to the P Spill. JFK and St. Mandrew are back once again for another release on Teenage Riot Records. Face Pump was originally slated to be released last week, but they were forced to push it back due to the distributor. I’m personally loving all three tracks on the EP. The Blende remix is exactly what you’d come to expect from them and the LA Riots remix adds a lot more kick to things which really keeps you into the track.

Finally, after months and months of waiting, Laidback Luke and Lee Mortimer‘s most anticipated track is finally dropping on December 8th. To me it almost feels like the most anticipated track of the year. Since at least July people have been begging for Blau and only getting teased in the face with it by nearly every big name DJ. Remixers of the track include Doorly, Noob, Nacho Lovers and LA Riots. If you haven’t been looking forward to this track then you’ve seriously got something wrong with your head.

Edit: After repeated listening it sounds like this might have a slight skip (maybe beat protection?) at the beginning which would causes it to get off beat. Be careful spinning it.

Is it just me or has it been a really long time since there’s been a new LA Riots remix? They do have a pretty crazy tour schedule going on right now so I can see how they can’t just crank them out. For their latest they’ve remixed VHS or Beta‘s new song Feel It When You Know. I feel like LA Riots did such a good job on this remix that the remix almost feels like the original and the original feels like the remix.

Soo happy when I read about this last night. One of my favorite things this year was N.A.S.A.‘s Spirit of Apollo album and now everyone gets a chance to remix it! This isn’t just one song like your normal remix contest, this is the ENTIRE album. You can grab every acapella and beat from every song and remix your heart out. The winner of the contest gets $1,000 in cash and even cooler is guaranteed a spot on N.A.S.A.’s upcoming remix album.
