Well the first week of the mini-mix comp is over and I’m extremely happy to see we already have 29 entries! I’m expecting a lot more as we get closer to the close and so far some of the mixes are sounding excellent!

The fact that I haven’t seen anybody blog this remix is a bit upsetting to me. A lot of people say all his remixes sound the same, but I don’t care what anybody says, I love Lazy Rich‘s style to death. One of the things electro music seems to be lacking recently is consistency. You’ll have an artist who puts out a huge hit and then the next is practically a flop. I get that it’s hard to write huge singles, but if some of them would just stick to the style they were good at, even for a couple of tracks, things would be a whole lot better. And seriously, if you’re reading this and haven’t dropped Better Wipe That Up in a set recently you probably should, no, you definitely should.

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the last two posts I made. A dude named Daniel emailed me last night with a 320 of Wolfgang’s Essential Mix, so for those of you that love having everything in full quality you can now grab that now from the post. And I also received an email from Dada Life last night about their Video Kick Snare remix. It turns out the remix is actually a year and a half old, but the label just now decided to release it. I guess it just goes to show you how timeless the Dada really is/will be!

Lazy Rich is someone who hasn’t been on my radar too often this year. I only have a few of his many remixes and so I decided to check out his latest one as I was browsing around this afternoon. I pretty sure I loved it right away because it gave me a really strong Designer Drugs feel with the lyrics and the heavy drop. He’s pretty well known already, but definitely someone keep an extra eye out for down the road.
