It seems there was a bit of hype over the announcement a few weeks ago of Squarepusher‘s new split 12″ on Ed Banger later this month, and while I won’t say the hype was entirely misplaced, but I will say I was expecting a bit more from the release. Maybe I’m just not that into Squarepusher’s style? The Mr. Oizo remix is at his usual level of twistedness though, so there’s that.

Mr. Oizo is about to release his movie Rubber to the world and we finally got a little taste of the music that’ll be featured in it. I was really happy to find out he enlisted the help of Gaspard from Justice to work on the soundtrack. For some reason I think straight Oizo music would have done too well as a movie soundtrack.

Mr. Oizo announced about a month ago that he was done with his N.A.S.A. remix and ever since then I’ve been waiting to hear what crazyness he’s added this time. The remix is definitely wild Mr. Oizo style and is very close to being my favorite N.A.S.A. remix. Props once again to the home of N.A.S.A. Squeak E. Clean.
