Really not sure how I missed this outstanding track release by Bart B More and Tommie Sunshine earlier this month, but I’m making up for it now by posting it. The release thankfully comes with three versions, since I found the original to be a bit heavy on vocal and the instrumental to be lacking (obviously). Can’t get enough of the synth in this track though. As usual it doesn’t disappoint and becomes a huge wrecking ball when cranked up to 11.

MSTRKRFT are back at it again this week releasing another new track, although I don’t think it’s quite as good as last week’s Beards Again. I know a few people criticized their track last week, saying it was subpar, but I would like to stress upon everyone that I’m sure these tracks aren’t meant to apease the masses, or else they wouldn’t be giving them away for free. I think these are more of “hey, were still here and about to make some new stuff, so listen to this while you wait” tunes. Regardless, I don’t doubt anyone wouldn’t jump up and down if they heard them drop this live.

Certainly a surprise today from MSTRKRFT in the form of their first original track since the Fist Of God album. It has a very strong rock theme too it which feels surprisingly good mixed with a bit of electro. I read in an interview recently that JFK was very displeased with the way electro was headed and the influence the Black Eyed Peas were having on things. He mentioned that the Fist Of God album was the direction they thought things were going, and that the next record will be the direction they want things to go. Whether this track is a sign of things to come from them or could still be up in the air, but what I am sure of, is that I really like this track.

Another year gone and Chemical Jump is officially two years old! I still can’t believe what a thing this has become from the little blog I started back then. I wanna say a big thank you again to everyone who checks the site every day, as well as you crazies who check more than that. Without you guys I really would have given up a long time ago. Some of you my recognize this last track. It’s actually an old remix JFK did and briefly uploaded to his myspace a little over 2 years ago. Do to legal reasons he wasn’t able to release it then, but now it seems all is well as he’s given it away freely in glorious 320kbps. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to play this but held back because I only had a bad 128 myspace rip. Big thanks to El3ctronight for bringing it to my attention.

So what’s everyones take on MSTRKRFT now? I love the productions they do by themselves, but this whole “of MSTRKRFT” thing is getting a bit old. I guess JFK has been busy with his label, which is okay, I’m just always a bit hurt when something great like MSTRKRFT used to be gets put on the back burner. Anyway, this new remix pretty good. I could have done with less vocal at the beginning, but I still like it. Thanks to El3ctronight for the heads up on this.

As another week draws to a close I got a nice look at just how crazy you guys are. So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

It seems a bit late to be putting out a new remix of Bounce, even if it is for the UK remixes release, but I gotta give Doorly props for the insane lyrical work. I tried to put the acappella and instrumental on tables to see if I could somehow recreate this. I eventually gave up and put the remix back on repeat.
