I can only imagine one of the hardest things to go through as an artist must be sample clearance. It’s been the death and delay of many a track, but occasionally the artist will just say fuck the system and give the track away for free. That’s what we have here today with this groovy new tune from Ocelot. It’s got a bit more funk to it than Our Time with some wicked synth work built in. I’m still really looking forward to their debut album No Requests. Last I heard it’ll be dropping later this year, sample clearance provided.

Most of you have probably Ocelot‘s new single Beating Hearts. I’ve listened to the Blende remix pretty much non-stop after I first heard it and ever since then I’ve been waiting eagerly for more remixes. Well, today sees the release of the Beating Hearts Remixes EP which happens to contain another ridiculously good remix by Louis La Roche. I really can’t say which remix I enjoy more. I still have a place for the Blende remix, but Louis’ brings a whole different vibe to things.

Ocelot has finally released the last remix on their Our Time EP. I’ve personally enjoyed every remix of Our Time and seriously can’t wait for the album to drop. If it’s anything close to Our Time, it’ll be a good time.

Really happy when I opened up Google Reader this morning and saw this. The first single from Ocelot‘s new album is being given away for free! Over the next couple of weeks they’ll be giving away a few more remixes by Bird Peterson, Calvertron and Treasure Fingers. I remember seeing a video for this song way back in 2008 and at the time it just blew me away so I’m glad to finally see this great track get released.
