Well it’s certainly been a fun week around here. Some of you may have been online Monday when I went on Ustream and spun some records for an hour. A lot of people asked if it was going to be a new weekly thing and after having so much fun with it, I couldn’t see a reason not to. I’ve made a few minor changes to the blog over the past few days. Nothing too crazy and mostly just boring backend stuff, but the most noticeable new addition is the Facebook like button at the bottom of each post. You have to be viewing the specific post to see it (I didn’t like the way it looked on the homepage, made it seem messy) so If you’re logged into Facebook, go right ahead and like away.

Just wanted to let everyone know I’ll be ordering stickers tomorrow and they’ll be ready in about a month. I’m doing the stickers first mainly because I don’t have the money to buy and print the t-shirts quite yet. The second reason is when I do print the t-shirts, I’d like to be able to throw in a sticker with each one. So just hang tight for a while and we’ll get this ball rolling.

It’s been a while since I’d heard anything new from Shook so I decided to see what new goodness he’s come up with. I first came upon him when Discodust did a post about a few of his tracks back in 08. One track called The Glow really caught my attention. It’s got a dirty synth line that rides the entire song along with some very nice electro-thriller overtones.

One of his newest tracks, #2, brought the good times of The Glow right back for me. More of that driving synth sound that I loved, but this time instead of the horror theme there’s a funk twist to it. And speaking of funk, I can’t wait for his next remix. I’m not sure if he planned it this way, but the end of #2 flows perfectly into his Hiroshima remix.
