Quite the lackluster week again for new music, but at least we got a few mixes out of it! And no, I haven’t forgot, my top picks in the Sucker Punch Remix Monday will be coming this week. I’ve been a bit busy and haven’t had enough time to sit down and listen to each remix in depth.

So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

I’ll be honest here. I’ve never really had a thing for Skream remixes. His In For The Kill remix was brilliant because it was so simple, but that’s really how he does every remix. I’m not saying simple is necessarily a bad thing, just that it can only get you so far. Night By Night and In For The Kill are good examples (at least for me) of a simple remixes that work well. His other stuff *cough*Hold The Line*cough* not so much.
