It was rather interesting watching the comments on yesterdays post about this track. The first few were ecstatic about its release but once they got a hold of the actual track, things changed. I will say that I wasn’t expecting a banger to be released on Boys Noize new sub label Trax, but it seems a lot of people, myself included, might have had a different vision of what the track would sound like. For what it’s worth though, I think this is one of those tracks that great job being extremely minimal yet still holding it’s own in just about any situation.

Two weeks ago we had some great remixes of Nott, one of the last Boys Noize singles from his album Power and today we have the continuation with a few Trooper remixes. I wasn’t feeling these remixes as much as the Nott mixes. Granted, Nott was always a favorite of mine over Trooper, so you could say I’m a bit biased. I did find Strip Steve‘s remix to be highly danceable though and it clearly stands out among the others for me.

So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

Strip Steve‘s new Delta Disco EP has officially dropped today (it actually hit Beatport yesterday). After listening to it a few times my favorite track has been confirmed to be Dancin’. Although all the other songs on the EP are equally amazing. A few sort of sound like Duck Sauce with some of the samples they used, but it’s definitely more dance centered.

Strip Steve‘s new EP is about to drop on November 9th and there’s a little EP teaser to go along with it. Just listening to this through once I can tell this EP is going to be absolutely HUGE.
