The Count & Sinden slammed together a crazy Essential Mix last night. Herve is definitely no stranger to the Essential Mix as, if I’m counting right, this is his third one. Herve and Sinden both did a mix back in 2008 which is still one of my more favorite UK sounding mixes. I also caught a listen of their first album earlier and I have to say it’s nothing short of MEGA. It drops this Tuesday, DO pick it up.

So here’s my favorites of 2009 post. Not necessarily the best tracks released this year, but they’re among the most played for me. I’m not gonna comment on each one since I’ve probably already done it on the blog before. I will say that it’s been an absolutely crazy year as far as electronic music goes. 2008 couldn’t touch 2009 and I’m sure the same will be said next year. After all, we have the new Daft Punk album to look forward to!

December has turned out to be a pretty crazy month. Last week pretty spur of the moment the forum was launched and I’m pleased to say it already has over 1000 posts! Harvard Bass has just been destroying things lately with his remixes and this one is no exception. It’s been up on his myspace for a while, but you can’t fully appreciate it till you can really hear it kick. Also be sure to pick up the Jokers Of The Scene remix on Beatport, it’s quite good as well.

The Count & Sinden dropped their October mix just yesterday. I almost skipped over it browsing my email this morning. It’s a pretty straight forward dubstep mix typical of the duo. They say they’ve been working on some “DJ weapons” that’ll be unleashed either late this year or early next year in time for the spring 2010 release of their first album.

Steve Aoki‘s new joint I’m In The House got released on Tuesday with remixes from The Count and Gigi Barocco. I just listened to the Gigi remix and actually prefer it over this one, but I gotta hand it to Herve for absolutely murdering this track. You can always tell it’s gonna be a good remix when they add extra words to the track like “Burning Down Your House”. Props to LA Friendly for the heads up.
