The Subs are all set to release a few hard hitting remixes for their latest single Don’t Stop in a few weeks. Their last single, The Face Of The Planet was good, but now with the combine power of Highbloo joining the team, you just can’t get much better than this. Don’t Stop has already earned it’s place in my playlist as a perfect summer anthem. Look out for an all star remix cast again with Beataucue, Autoérotique, Mustard Pimp, Le Petit Belge & Le Cheval, Bird Peterson, and The Aston Shuffle all on remix duty for the May 30th release. The Subs just recently released their latest EP yesterday to much excitement from myself. I really couldn’t find a remix in this EP I didn’t like in one way or another and amazingly, for once, it was decided to give one of the best remixes away for free! Ado actually has two mixes on the EP though this one is more to my liking. He’s been doing recently with new remixes for Herve, Tom Starr, The Urchins and Kissy Sell Out all being worked on and is definitely primed to take one of the top spots for breakthrough producers of 2011 in my book. Also in an interesting little sidenote, Highbloo, who I’ve also gushed about here in recent weeks, has joined The Subs! I’m not sure exactly when this happened, but hopefully he’ll still have time for Highbloo tunes in the future.

Another solid week in the can. Although that I Love Techno stream last night was pretty lame. Whoever was controlling the video should be fired and thrown into a bloody hole. Anyway, I’ll try and post some of the live sets tomorrow if I can find them in good quality.

This new tune from The Subs and Party Harders has been stunk in my head for days now and I’m loving it. It’s got an incredibility catchy vocal hook (I guarantee you’ll be saying “I am the pope of dope” to yourself by the end of the day) and you can definitely hear the influence from The Subs in the beat. All the remixes on the release are pretty good, but they still don’t come close to the original.

Finally this great remix by Bob Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots has landed. I really don’t know how this has gone unposted for so long. Every source I’ve read says it was released on the 2nd of this month, yet I can’t find a single place to buy it. Regardless, you should probably put this on repeat and play it as loud as you can for the next few hours. Your ears will thank you.
