Another solid week in the can. Although that I Love Techno stream last night was pretty lame. Whoever was controlling the video should be fired and thrown into a bloody hole. Anyway, I’ll try and post some of the live sets tomorrow if I can find them in good quality.

It’s really amazing how you can remix a track to make it sound from a certain year. That’s exactly what SebastiAn did with this 2006 throwback remix of Uffie’s new single. I’m not in love with the vocals by any means, but the sound instantly transports me back to that time I heard Waters of Nazareth for the first time. I’m very fond of those days when I was first getting into electronic music. And while I can’t say that I’d play this out too much today, in 2006 it would have put the biggest grin on my face.

I’ve made a few minor changes to the blog over the past few days. Nothing too crazy and mostly just boring backend stuff, but the most noticeable new addition is the Facebook like button at the bottom of each post. Hard to believe it’s only been 3 years since Uffie showed up on the scene with Hot Chick, Ready To Uff, and Pop The Glock. After a long silence she’s finally about ready to return with her latest song MCs Can Kiss Produced by Mr. Oizo. I’m not really a fan of all her “rapping” in the track, but Starkey has put it all to good use and delivered a perfect mix of lyrics and pounding synths.
